01 What it was like
Drugs and Alcohol consumed my every action. I lost interest in many activities, relationships, and family. 24/7 being impaired or sick from not having any. So lost in life
I lost interest in many activities, relationships, and family.
02 What happened
After getting a DUI in a company car, I was put on a probationary period to ensure I would clean up my act. However, I was still misusing the company credit card for bar tabs, fake happy hours, and utility bills since all my income was going to drugs and alcohol. I was fired on 3/1/2018, and it was that point when I surrendered. I was on a plane to detox and rehab 3 weeks later.
03 What it is like now
Amazing. Full of gratitude. I am a contributing member of society again. I am a family man, Christian, and active member of a 12 step group. Living 1 day at a time, and appreciating every moment of it.
