01 What it was like
If you knew me then, you probably rolled your eyes when you saw me coming. If you knew me then, chances are I stole from you. If you knew me then, you were embarrassed to be seen with me. If you knew me then, you knew me as a sloppy drunk who could never get it together. I was always crying and falling down, miserable, messy, and lost.
If you knew me then, you probably rolled your eyes when you saw me coming.
02 What happened
Do you know me now?
If you know me now, you see my shining light. You trust and respect me because I trust and respect you. You enjoy and even seek out my company. You know me today as a person who can be responsible, who can make the right choices, maintain healthy boundaries, and see the beauty in everything.
03 What it is like now
I am so grateful for my sobriety. I am so proud, so happy, so appreciative of this incredible life I am blessed to live. If you are struggling with addiction, please know there is a way out. You can do it. You can be a miracle, too.
