HELL!!! I moved to New Orleans to get away from using not understanding at the time I was taking me with me.

I started working with addicted teens ( go figure) and remember this blonde haired blue-eyed girl named Nikki coming to me thanking me for helping her get 90 days clean. I remember going home and crying because I could not stay clean 1 day!!!! I went back to work the next day and contacted the EAP and within 30 days was in treatment.

I am still in the field with a couple of degrees and certifications in Addiction this time giving back what was so freely given to me. I still attend meeting. I have worked in day reporting centers, drug courts, residential and out patient settings. I provided individual and group counseling with youth, adults, pregnant females and incarcerated individuals. I train people to become addiction counselors by providing supervision.
