I woke up in the hospital, unaware of what had happened.

I was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and my truck veered off the road into a tree. I broke my neck in uncountable places. I had no idea what kind of life I had been living.

About three months into recovery, I had an epiphany, no explosions or flashing lights, I just stood by the gate in my yard and for the 1st time in over forty years, I saw the world, it was amazing. I never fail to be amazed at what surrounds me every waking day.
