Genesis Counseling Center's intensive outpatient program provides structured addiction treatment while allowing clients to maintain work, family, and housing stability. The IOP combines individual counseling, group therapy, and family sessions to address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This level of care serves individuals stepping down from residential treatment or those requiring more intensive support than standard outpatient services.

Following completion of intensive outpatient treatment, Genesis provides aftercare services to support long-term recovery maintenance. This continuity ensures clients have ongoing professional guidance as they navigate early recovery challenges and build sustainable sobriety practices within their community.

Recognizing the diverse needs of the Southern New Jersey recovery community, Genesis offers both in-person and telehealth counseling options. This flexibility proves particularly valuable for clients managing work schedules, transportation challenges, or family responsibilities while engaging in addiction treatment. Telehealth sessions maintain the same therapeutic standards as in-person visits, ensuring consistent care delivery.

The center operates Monday through Friday until 9 PM and Saturday mornings, accommodating individuals who cannot attend traditional daytime appointments. This extended schedule reflects Genesis's understanding that recovery must fit into real-life circumstances to be sustainable long-term.

Genesis serves diverse populations including veterans, pregnant women, court-ordered clients, and individuals with trauma/PTSD histories. The center's expertise in co-occurring disorders addresses the reality that many people in recovery face simultaneous mental health challenges requiring integrated treatment approaches.

Special programming includes DUI/DWI counseling and services for HIV/AIDS populations, demonstrating the center's commitment to meeting specific community needs. The Second Chance Program provides on-site counseling at Camden County Correctional Facility, extending recovery support to justice-involved individuals preparing for reentry.

Genesis accepts multiple insurance carriers including NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid), Medicare, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna, making addiction treatment accessible across income levels. The center also offers sliding scale fees, self-pay options, and accepts state and county funding to ensure financial barriers don't prevent access to recovery services.

Initial intake assessments cost $125 for both substance abuse and mental health evaluations, with an additional $25 for drug testing. Insurance may cover portions of these fees, and staff work with clients to understand their coverage options and payment responsibilities upfront.
